ytax-prep, the application

By default, processing happens on your computer in the folder you choose: your documents, your answers and the filled forms stay there. yTax has no server that receives your return data, and the application requires no account and collects no tracking or usage data.

Optional AI checking stays off until you enable it. It sends page images to the Ollama server you configure, which may be on another computer. The application shows its address and refuses cloud-hosted models.

This website

This website uses no cookies, tracking scripts or analytics, and reading its pages sends nothing about you to us. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operation.

The newsletter

Newsletter subscriptions happen on the newsletter provider's service, Substack, under its own privacy policy. This website has no sign-up form and does not collect subscriber email addresses.
